A home born from the mountains
Vaadi exists because of a simple desire: to share the mountains with people who need them. Not a resort, not a hotel — a home in the Himalayas.
Built with local wood and stone, designed to exist gently in its surroundings. Every material was chosen to belong here. Every detail considered so that what you notice instead is the silence, the forest, and the slow movement of clouds over the peaks.

A pine forest at 7,500 feet
The building sits at 7,500 feet in a pine and rhododendron forest, a short drive from Joshimath in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.
Two private rooms — Forest View on the ground floor, Sky View on the first — each with their own character and view. One is cradled by the trees; the other opens to the sky and the unbroken Himalayan range beyond.
The property was built using traditional Garhwali construction methods with locally sourced stone and timber. It sits lightly on the hillside, asking as little of the land as possible.
